TULSA TO DO
All but one of this week's picks for things to do in Tulsa are free. And, that one exception? It's just $7 for an Irish dinner. ...
You're not going to run out of things to do this weekend. It will be easy to keep yourself, and the kids, busy with happenings ...
A friend told me he had thought more about Woody Guthrie in the last few days than he had his whole life.
It's no wonder. ...
Think of the Nature Conservancy's Nature Festival as a field trip.
Remember how fun field trips were when you were in school? Well, this may be even more fun. The nature festival is family focused with activities for kids and adults.
The field-trip aspect comes from all the unexpected adventures that await at this festival. Try soil painting or hands-on photography, view a native bird exhibit and demo from the Sutton Avian Research Center then grab a drink from the wine tasting station and listen to the live bluegrass music.
The festival celebrates the Oklahoma chapter of the Nature Conservancy's 25th year, so the focus is on native wildlife, animals and habitats.
The cost is $20 per person or $50 per family. Don't be turned off by the price: It includes admission, food, drinks and all activities.
There's a lot going on Sunday, but I'm going to squeeze this one in. We're taking our kiddos to Shalomfest and then heading to the Nature Festival. Here's hoping for clear skies and a fun field trip – or two.
