Arthur Christmas

Hugo
You know the Muppets. But that's only one of three movies aimed at family audiences opening Wednesday for the Thanksgiving Day holiday, and you may not have a clue about "Hugo" or "Arthur Christmas."
"Hugo" is the new film from Martin Scorsese and it is not only his first aimed at young audiences, but his first in 3-D. This is an adventure film about a Parisian orphan in the 1930s who finds a broken robot.
Meanwhile, "Arthur Christmas" is also in 3-D, but it's animated and comes from the same company that has produced the excellent "Wallace & Gromit" movies and shorts. The short story: Santa's son must go to work at the North Pole.
But that's only a small bit of information. You can really get a sense of whether you're loading up the kiddies for these movies by checking out the trailers for both movies here.
