Garth Brooks has been added to the "
Teachers Rock" program, slated to air 7 p.m.
Aug. 17 on the CBS network.
The 2012 Country Music Hall of Fame inductee joins another Oklahoma native,
Carrie Underwood, as well as appearances from fun., Jack Black, Dierks Bentley, Josh Groban, Meryl Streep, Dave Grohl, Morgan Freeman, Adam Levine, James Valentine, Josh Groban, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jennifer Garner, Usher, LL Cool J and more.
Benefits from the Los Angeles show will go to DonorsChoose.org, Feeding America and Teach for America.
The one-hour show will pay tribute to America's educators at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. The event was rescheduled from the original Aug. 18 broadcast to accomodate all the stars.
