There’s a good chance we have all pronounced foods at restaurants or during casual conversation.

If you had a smart waiter or waitress, they didn’t laugh out loud at the faux pas.

In some cases, the mistakes have become such a part of our American language, there a good chance your server didn’t even notice.

Yet, in the interest of self improvement, I thought I would pass along this countdown of commonly mispronounced foods provided by Eat24, an online restaurant delivery service.

Pronounced: nyawk-kee

Pronounced: e-spres-oh
