THE PICKER
We were flipping through some games over the weekend and stopped on what we thought was the Purdue game.
But we thought ...
After the fluke win over the Giants, a game in which the visitor gave up six turnovers and still appeared to be the better ...
Will you look at this:
Tulsa at Bowling Green.
Virginia Tech versus Alabama.
LSU versus TCU.
Georgia at Clemson.
North ...
The media has spoken.
We all know what that means. It's time to mediate. Usually the media couldn't pick the winner on instant replay.
The media has said that OSU wins the Big 12 at football.
Here is our response to other media announcements:
Offensive player of the year: Who?
Defensive player of the year: Who?
Coach of the year: Rip Van Snyder.
Obviously the league is down.
Here is our pre-season ranking.
1. Texas. This team can't stink forever can it? This city and campus generally attract the best of everything. Except quarterbacks. The current one is better.
2. OSU. Gundy seems tense. Could be the defense causing it.
3. OU. Stoops could feel the heat in Norman. Mike Stoops.
4. Kansas State. They wake Snyder up and drag him out of retirement and he wins right away.
5. TCU. Usually overrated. Can't score much.
6. Baylor. Big games in Waco draw 23,000.
7. Texas Tech. Dangerous again with former QB and former Aggie offensive coordinator as coach.
8. West Virginia. Absurd Big 12 conference member. Trip to Lubbock like a time warp.
9. Iowa State. Big Ten bodies in swift conference.
10. Kansas. Consider your Self blessed.
