The Million Dollar Shoe is back -- wonder who the lucky Cinderella will be at the Oscars on Feb. 26?

I've been on a high-heel kick this last week, I'm afraid.

But beautiful shoes seem to be dropping from the universe -- today brings the announcement from Stuart Weitzman that he's bringing back the Million Dollar Shoe for 2012, called "The Millionairess."

Ten years ago, the luxury shoe company made a splash on the red carpet at the Academy Awards with its debut of the Million Dollar shoe -- "Mullholland Drive" actress Laura Elena Harring, wore the dazzling beauties, which were adorned with 464 diamonds -- and worth a cool million.

The company followed suit in the next years, featuring a new shoe on actresses, such as Regina King, Anika Noni Rose, singer Alison Krauss and others.

Then came the recession. And the million-dollar shoe was deemed a bit too extravagant, even for the Oscars.

So it's being revived for this year's Oscars on Feb. 26, to celebrate the anniversary. A non-diamond, but still very glitzy version is being sold at Stuart Weitzman boutiques for about $500.

I wonder who the lucky actress or Oscar nominee will be selected to wear Cinderella's slippers?

What do you think of the shoe? A fabulous Oscar-worthy fashion accessory, or too extravagant even for the most glitzy night of the year?
