The Earth has been invaded. Aliens are now popping up all over the globe. In its first encounter with them, XCOM has already lost a few good soldiers. The organization now looks to the Prairie Nerds for help, so let’s get to the mission.
Already XCOM has an important decision to make. Alien abductions have popped up in three separate countries. XCOM can only respond to one of them. For this mission, the team decides to head to Kansas City.
MISSION: OPERATION DRIVING STROKE
Location: Kansas City
Prairie Nerd soldiers: Anna, Matt, James
Objective: Destroy all alien forces
The Prairie Nerds for their first mission pair up with the lone survivor from first contact with the alien species. The team sets down in an industrial facility. The team moves forward and spots two aliens (dubbed Sectoids) right in front of them. The lone survivor makes his way to the top of a building and rains down fire on one of them killing it. But there is still one remaining.

OUTCOME: Anna Codutti in a show of bravery moves forward on the Sectoid and swiftly takes it out. |
Rookie Anna effortlessly picks up her first kill. She already shows signs of becoming a front line soldier.
With two more remaining Sectoids, the pair decide to bunker down in an abandoned structure. The lone survivor makes quick work of them with a rocket launcher blowing up the structure and killing the two Sectoids inside.
