It's the most wonderful time of the year. It seems like now more than ever, Star Trek has gained a resurgence into the mainstream consciousness because of the JJ Abrams reboot, stars confessing their Trek-obsessions, and shows like the Big Bang Theory that constantly plug Trek references into their episodes. It's a good time to be a Trekkie, and a great time for Trek products.

This Christmas, whether you're a fan looking for new merchandise, or you're the family or significant other of a Trekkie(er), we have a list of the must-haves this holiday season.

2013 Ships of the Line Calendar

Trek up your home or workspace with the new 2013 calendar. Each month you'll be treated to epic battles, nostalgic flights and even a few surprises. These are on sale now on Amazon.

Tea, Earl Grey, Hot.

Even if you don't have a replicator, you can enjoy a cup of Earl Grey in your ready room. ThinkGeek has an officially-licensed tin of loose-leaf Earl Grey for you to enjoy while watching the new TNG Season 2 on Blu-Ray.

You can buy this on ThinkGeek.

Star Trek MIMOBOT Designer USB drives

Now you can have your very own Kirk, Spock, Picard and Data USB drives with MIMOBOT. These MIMOBOT drives include customization themes, wallpapers, avatars, digital comics, videos and more. It's a serious bang for your buck. You can find them on the MIMOBOT website.

Star Trek: The Next Generation Season 2 Blu-Ray disc set

Even though this set has been out for a few months, it's a must-have for the TNG fan. Whether you want to see the famous episode "Q Who" with the introduction of the Borg, or accidentally click on the "Shades of Gray" episode, seeing the crew in high definition, along with new special effects, is something you can't pass up. Check it out on Amazon.

Star Trek: The Next Generation Motion Picture set

Since we're talking about Blu-rays, this set has to be included. This set includes the movies with the Next Generation crew, and even if you hate Nemesis, you'll love seeing the Enterprise crash and Picard fight the Borg in high definition. It's definitely worth the buy.

You can find it on Amazon.

The Original Motion Picture DVD set

If you're looking for a less costly solution for Christmas, the original six movies have been put into a newly-packaged set that runs around $40. I think that's a fantastic deal. You can also opt for the higher end Blu-ray set, as well. The set also includes a special DVD called 'Captain's Summit' which is a sit-down with several of the captains of the Trek series. The DVD set can be found on Amazon or Walmart, and so can the Blu Ray set.

Star Trek: The Complete Comic Book Collection

A little-known fact to the Trek community has been the release of one of the most extensive comic collections in Trek history. This inclusive set includes over 500 comic issues from 1967 - 2002 as well as every ad, article and annual. It's a fantastic buy and a must-have. Check it out on Amazon.

Star Trek Federation: The First 150 Years

This is a remarkable book set to be released on December 4 is already generating buzz in the Trek community. This illustrated history covers the first 150 years of the Federation, from first contact with the Vulcans to Khan himself. The set also includes a pedestal display with blinking lights and an audio introduction from Admiral Hikaru Sulu (George Takei) as well as official starfleet intelligence documents, official letters in Klingon and more. You can pre-order the book on Amazon.

Star Trek: The Next Generation 365 Book

This is a recently released book is one that your coffee table will thank you for. It's a visual look at the creation and production of the Next Generation series, from the beginning concepts that include LeVar Burton in his famous 'pre-Geordi' makeup and super-80s-curls to high quality photos of the props and guest stars. This book can be found on Amazon.

Star Trek Red Shirt Cologne

Feeling a little dangerous today? Maybe the transporter is acting a little funky, or some kind of ooze alien meets your away team on the planet below. If you're going out with a bang, then go out in style! You can find this on Amazon, but wait, the creators of this cologne also have Shirtless Kirk Cologne , Pon Farr Perfume, and Sulu Excelsior Cologne. (I assume the Sulu cologne is for the times you just feel like ripping your shirt off and chasing people down hallways with a sword.)
