What's the most embarrassing thing ...

As I confessed in my Tuesday column, I'm a clumsy hooker.

But I'm also nosy, as I want to hear about YOUR most embarrassing ...

Is it really vandalism when it's a sticker with the words "nipple clamps"?

Aside from enjoying humorous ones spied on others' automobiles, I'm not a fan of bumper stickers.

I blame my father, ...

Where is the oddest place you've ever taken cover during bad weather?

During last week's bad weather, when a tornado siren sounded around midnight, I was caught at a midtown QuikTrip.

It may look like your average pillow, but this one is MAGIC! (Not really, but it keeps you cool thanks to NASA technology.)

Remember "Not Necessarily the News" on HBO in the '80s?

My favorite part of the show was Sniglets, a segment Rich Hall hosted, introducing words describing things or actions for which there were no words in the dictionary. The word I remember most was "blivett," a verb for turning your pillow over and over to find the cool side. Let's use it in a sentence:

Attorney: "Why do you want to divorce your husband?"
Wife: "He's a dirty, cheating slimeball. Plus, his constant blivetting through the night prevents me from sleeping well."

I was reminded of the B word thanks to gift and gadget gurus Hammacher Schlemmer, who are selling the Always Cool Pillow.

Effective under any pillowcase, the pillow actively regulates your head's and face's temperature, creating an optimal sleeping climate by preventing overheating. Pretty cool, if you'll pardon the pun.

It uses a fabric developed for NASA to help astronauts adapt to extreme temperature fluctuations. It absorbs excess heat from you when you are hot, ensuring a comfortable pillow temperature every time you use it.

The fabric covers both sides of the pillow, which is filled with a spiral-crimped polyester that has a loose, thread-like texture that provides long-lasting loft. It's encased by a 300 thread-count hypoallergenic removable, washable 100 percent cotton cover.

Info on the web site also reads "for those who sleep on their sides." I know that's the healthy way to sleep, but I always end up on my stomach (keep the jokes to yourself, please). Still, I wants me one.

Prices range $69.96 for a medium density standard size pillow to $99.95 for a firm-density one. You can order at http://www.hammacher.com/Product/78165?promo=search

Peace, love and blivetting ... XOXO
