Opening Friday is the film that has earned the Tulsa World's first four-star review of 2011.
"Jane Eyre," the latest, and arguably the greatest, adaptation of Charlotte Bronte's tale of manners, romance and Gothic thriller moments in Victorian England, is playing exclusively at Circle Cinema beginning Friday morning.
The film is stunning, remarkably moving and free of the melodrama of some past productions. The performances by Mia Wasikowska ("Alice in Wonderland," "The Kids Are All Right") as Jane and by Michael Fassbender as Mr. Rochester are both worthy of award consideration at the end of the year.
