Going into today's game against the third best defense overall in passing yards allowed, Justin Blackmon had about 250 yards and one touchdown. Bust Blackmon, they called him.
The former Oklahoma State star now has a new best friend. Chad Henne targeted him 13 times and Blackmon grabbed 7 of them for 236 yards and a touchdown. Make that an 81-yard score.
Maybe this team will start throwing to someone who just demonstrated that he can break away from the best. I have never understood the game plan with Blackmon in the first 10 games of the season. They simply never threw it his direction.
I see that changing. Finally.
