FANTASY WORLD
So last year I though Doug Martin was worth moving up in fantasy drafts and grabbing. This year, I did the same thing with ...
1. Eddie Royal is a beast. The guy who was a decent fantasy player like five years ago is blowing it up in the first two ...
One last look at week 1. You could have drafted a team with the most points.
If you picked the players with the most ...
I went into a point-per-reception draft with Calvin Johnson as my keeper. I could have kept Arian Foster as my keeper, but after thinking about it a long time, I just couldn't do it.
After running the numbers of our scoring system, I came to a conclusion: I wanted Dez Bryant.
I know. There is a huge shortage of running backs. The best available after 12 teams kept a play were CJ Spiller and Marshawn Lynch. But I just didn't believe in either of them as I did in Dez. Plus, if you work the numbers in our scoring system, Dez and Calvin in a PPR league could equal with Spiller and Lynch could score.
So I did it. I Picked Dez in the first round and ended up with this team:
QMs
Tony Romo: Been a critic but since I went with WR-WR-RB-RB in the first four rounds, I think he's a value in the sixth.
Robert Griffin III: Our scoring system gives you a lot of points for quarterbacks and instead of just getting one great one and one not so great, I went back to back on picking quarterbacks.
RBs
Stevan Ridley: Couldn't believe he was there in the third for me. The Patriots are going to run a lot.
Giovani Bernard: I think he's the next CJ Spiller, instead he's on a winning team. I love how he plays.
Ben Tate: I left Foster go, but I couldn't pass up Tate in the sixth. I really don't think Foster is going to make it this season.
Shonn Greene: Not a big fan, but he plays the Raiders and another soft team on bye weeks for Ridley and Bernard.
Robert Turbin: For the second season, I am drafting him just in case Lynch goes down.
WRs
Calvin Johnson: How about 15 touchdowns this year. I think he could.
Dez Bryant: If anyone surpasses Calvin, it's Dez.
Chris Givens: I think he comes out as Sam Bradford's No. 1 target in this offense.
Rueben Randle: With Victor Cruz hobbled and Hakeem Nicks not 100 percent, Randle has the talent to breakout.
TE
Antonio Gates: He's old but in shape and no one else is available to catch the ball in San Diego.
K
Dan Bailey: Go Pokes.
DEF
Rams: Tavon Austin went too early in our draft, but I would rather take advantage of his talent as he runs backs kicks. I think he goes for 4 TDs this season. Plus, this defense is ready to take over.
Let me know what your teams look like.
