Shows, lectures and azaleas are on the calendar this week. Oh, and don't forget Easter.
SundaySesame StreetToday's your last chance to take the kids to “Sesame Street Live: Elmo Makes Music” at the BOK Center. "A Ballets Russes Evening"It's also the last chance to see Tulsa Ballet's “A Ballets Russes Evening,” at the Tulsa PAC’s Chapman Music Hall at 3 p.m. The performance is a trio of ballets, including “Apollo,” “The Spectre of the Rose,” and a recent reworking of “The Rite of Spring.”

The World in 2050Or, you could head to the Lorton Performance Center at TU to hear Dr. Laurence Smith discuss his new book, “The World in 2050: Four Forces Shaping Civilization’s Northern Future." The lecture will be at 7:30 p.m.
His book presents a projection of what our world might look like in forty years’ time, driven by the four global forces of population demographics, resource demand, globalization and climate change.
MondayAzalea FestivalMuskogee’s annual Azalea Festival starts Sunday and runs throughout the month of April. The azaleas can be found at Honor Heights Park, located at Honor Heights Drive and 48th Street in Muskogee. The park also features tulips, flowering trees and landscaped gardens. Kids can also enjoy various attractions, including fishing, paddle boats, a butterfly sanctuary, playground and splash pad.
“Disconnected Kids” lectureDr. Robert Melillo, author of the book “Disconnected Kids,” will be in Tulsa Monday and Tuesday to speak to families of children with neurobehavioral disorders such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia and Tourette’s. The free lectures are set for 7 p.m. both days, will be at the Perkins Auditorium at the OU-Tulsa Schusterman Center, 4502 E. 41st St. Reservations are recommended. Call 918-488-8991 to RSVP.
Tuesday-WednesdayEaster eventsSeveral Easter events are scheduled this week.
Take the kids to Hicks Park, 3443 S. Mingo Road, to make Easter bunny crafts on Tuesday at 5 p.m. Cost is $10.
Easter egg hunts will be conducted at Whiteside Park, 4009 S. Pittsburg Ave., and Reed Park, 4233 S. Yukon Ave., at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. A jelly bean hunt can be found at Lacy Park, 2134 N. Madison Place, at 6 p.m.
On Wednesday, Hicks Park is hosting its “Egg Scramble” at 4:30 p.m. It’s free, but call 918-669-6355 to sign up.
The Easter bunny will be in attendance at most of the events, and canned food donations will be accepted to benefit the food bank.
