Is there anyone in this NFL Draft worth a fantasy draft pick?

A couple thoughts with fantasy drafts just four months away.

Is Eddie Lacy the only back worth a pick?

Absolutely ...

Adrian Peterson back on top as the consensus No. 1 fantasy football player

The Harvard graduate has 12 touchdown passes so far.

You could have a winning fantasy team if you drafted these players AFTER your fantasy draft was over:

Ryan Fitzpatrick, leads the NFL in touchdown passes.
Alfred Morris, ninth best fantasy running back.
Jackie Battle, tied for second most total touchdowns.
Brian Hartline, leads the NFL in receiving yardage.
Andre Roberts, 10th best fantasy wide receiver.
Scott Chandler, leads tight ends in touchdowns.
Greg Zuerlein, second most points by a kicker.
Cardinals, second best defense.

What does that tell you? That you may have some great players on your team, even three or four of them, and you are 1-3. This is why fantasy is fun to play. The winners aren't just the ones who pick players out of a cheat sheet. Everyone has a chance in this game.

In other news ...

Sad. Just sad. How would you like to finally, after decades in the business, get one of 32 NFL head coaching jobs in the world and then find out you have leukemia. Can't stop thinking about Chuck Pagano and what he is going through in Indianapolis. Fight, coach. Fight.

If I was Jerry Jones ... I would let Jason Garrett figure this out. I would not take time out of my day to tell the press you are disappointed. I would let your coach figure this out. That is what you have paid him to do. I like Garrett and think he has the right mindset to succeed in this game. But time is running out. Bob Stoops and OU have a lack of talent problem. Dallas doesn't have that. They have mental problems. They have a receiver who should have had 200 yards last week. They have an offensive line that can't make any holes on any downs. They have a quarterback who can't see opposing players. As I mentioned yesterday, I already see blood in the water and Jon Gruden being the perfect person who can walk in and win it all. He's done it before.

If I was Rex Ryan ... I would sign Chad Johnson and Plaxico Burress. Like yesterday. I would have two people in the backfield on every play behind Mark Sanchez: Tim Tebow and Bilal Powell. Ryan, you are playing for your life right now. Get the only playmakers on your team out of free agency and off your bench.
