Everything from kite-flying to art films is on the calendar this weekend.

Festival of Kites
Grab a kite and head to East 43rd Street and South Garnett Road for the Tulsa Wind Rider Club’s 19th annual Festival of Kites. The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

Walk World Walkathon

The American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin and Twinepidemic Inc. are sponsoring a community walk and free, hands-only CPR training at Hunter Park, 5804 E. 91st St., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The first 50 participants will receive a free T-shirt.

‘History’
Interested in 21st-century art? Stop by Living Arts, 307 E. Brady St., from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. today for a screening of the short film, “History.” The film is produced by Art21, a nonprofit organization that chronicles the work of contemporary artists.
“History” features artists whose works mine personal and collective pasts to explore changing ideas of justice, equality and tolerance. Artists featured will be Marina Abramovic, Glenn Ligon, and Mary Reid Kelley. Opening remarks will be give by University of Tulsa art historian Kirsten Olds.
The free Living Arts event will include a hands-on activity for participants. For more information, visit tulsaworld.com/livingarts.

Renaissance Festival
Head out to Muskogee for the third weekend of the Oklahoma Renaissance Festival. The Castle of Muskogee has been transformed into Castleton, a fictional village straight out of 16th-century England.
Jugglers, gypsies and knights in shining armor abound at this festival.
Hours are 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. every weekend through May and on Memorial Day. And on Saturday, for $20 per person, attend the Masque Ball from 7 to 10 p.m. — full of costumes, masks, period music and hors d’oeuvres.
