Tulsa Gridiron will present its 79th annual show Friday and Saturday at the PAC.

This weekend, mark you calendars for a “snake” run, a craft show and a bit of opera.

“Mock-u-py Tulsa, or Shakes on the Plains”

The 79th annual Tulsa Gridiron show is set for 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Tulsa PAC’s Liddy Doenges Theatre. The show takes on a sketch comedy format like that of “Saturday Night Live,” and skewers local and national politicians and celebrities. Tickets are $25-$50, available at tulsaworld.com/mytix.

Craft Show
The “Made in Oklahoma” arts and crafts show will be at Broken Arrow’s Persimmon Hollow Village, 6927 S. 115th E. Ave., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Crafts of all kinds will be available at the indoor and outdoor booths. Admission and parking are free. For more information, call Mark Roberts at 918-408-5082.

Snake Run
Runners can choose between a 3-hour run and a 6-hour run during the TATUR Snake Run at Turkey Mountain on Saturday. Races begin at 9 a.m. Registration is $40-$45. Visit tulsaworld.com/snakerun and register by Friday.

Tulsa Opera
Tulsa Opera will present “Postcard from Morocco,” a one-act chamber opera, at 2 p.m. Sunday at Philbrook Museum. The surreal opera delves into the minds of seven people waiting in a train station -- showing their dreams, fears and imaginations, and explores their attachment to their belongings. Sounds fun. And the chance to attend an opera for only $10-$12? Yes, please. Tickets are available by calling 918-582-4035, and will also be sold at the door.

"Twinkle, Twonkle"

And finally, here's a show that can please even the very young. The PAC Trust Imagination Series presents "Twinkle, Twonkle" at the Tulsa PAC's John H. Williams Theatre at 7 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday. The show features stars, nursery rhymes and a new constellation that, suspiciously, is shaped like a young boy's recently missing teddy bear. Show is for those 4 and older. Tickets are $10, available at tulsaworld.com/pac.
