2. CONGRESS OF A CROW
with Callupsie, Violence to Vegas and First Lady Assassins
This kinetic Tulsa five piece is tighter live than a New York City subway train at rush hour. COAC recently had nearly every instrument swiped from a locked storage trailer here in Tulsa, and this show’s also a fundraiser and auction to help it replace that lost gear. Keep your eyes peeled for visiting music industry execs, too!
7 p.m. Friday, Blank Slate, First Street and Detroit Ave. All ages. $10 cover.
3. THE SECRET POST
Sometimes, when bands are dark, they’re really, really dark. Admittedly, drugging, fighting and irresponsibility nearly totaled this up-and-coming gothic post-punk act. It resurrects itself on its 2-year anniversary with 22 new songs bubbling in its cauldron of sullen-yet-danceable rock, performed at the first venue it ever played.
10 p.m. Monday, The Tulsa Eagle, 1338 E. Third St., $3 cover.
