William Friedkin's film adaptation of Tracy Letts' play "Killer Joe" is opening in limited release this weekend. A brutally violent black comedy about a Dallas family so depraved and desperate for money that hiring a corrupt cop/contract killer in order to cash in on a life insurance policy, "Killer Joe" stars Matthew McConaughey, Emile Hirsch, Thomas Haden Church and Juno Temple.
The film is rated NC-17.
