Tulsa area residents should see some familiar territory on Trisha Yearwood’s cooking show when it debuts in October.
The second season of "Trisha’s Southern Kitchen" was filmed in Oklahoma and included visits from friends and family, including her country western star husband, Garth Brooks. The 13-episode season premieres 10 a.m. Oct. 20 on Food Network.
Yearwood, a Grammy winner and best-selling cookbook author, lives near Tulsa.
Her first season debuted with six episodes that were shot in Nashville, where Yearwood got her start in the music business.
But she told the Tulsa World in April that if the show went past the first season, she wanted to be closer to home.
“Ultimately, if I end up doing more shows, I will do them here because I want to be home. And that was the original pitch, because I am still raising girls and I have a girl in high school,” Yearwood said at that time.
