CBS Sports Network is on TU’s campus and producing three shows for its all-access series “College Football Confidential” series. A television crew will follow Tulsa over the next three weeks and put together stories on its players, practices and the game-week routine. A crew was at Tulsa’s practice on Wednesday afternoon and had coach Bill Blankenship wired during the workout.
The first show is scheduled to air at 7 p.m. Monday. The following shows will be at 7 p.m. on both Sept. 19 and Sept. 26 and focus on the Oklahoma State and Boise State games.
Blankenship was asked after Wednesday’s practice about allowing the network all-access to his program.
“It’s a great opportunity for us,” Blankenship said. “We think so much for this university and our program. If this helps us tell the story a little bit, I don’t think it will do nothing but aid us in recruiting and help us in trying to get people in the stands.
“The more connected you are to our players, personally, the more you want to come see them.”
CBS Sports Network is available locally in Tulsa, on Cox Channel 249 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 643 and via satellite on DirecTV Channel 613 and Dish Network Channel 152.
