As part of my feature last week about Michael Fusco celebrating 25 years of being an executive chef in Tulsa, I ran a list of notable chefs who have come through Bodean Seafood, Fusco's first stop here.
No one around the restaurant knew for sure where Chris Tunnell was working. The last any of us had heard he was cooking at high-end restaurants in Los Angeles and Vegas.
I since received an email from Chris' father, C. Conley Tunnell, who informed me his son was executive chef at Choctaw Casino in Durant.
"It's known in the area for being an excellent steakhouse," Conley Tunnell said.
So, if you're down around Durant, stop in the casino and give a shout to Chris. Let him know you're from Tulsa.
