A "dancey dance" from Emmy-nominated actor/comedian Bill Hader and a bottle of real tequila drew laughs on "Late Show With David Letterman" Tuesday.
Tulsa native Hader talked about appearing on oldest daughter Hannah’s favorite TV show.
"She is obsessed with this show called 'Yo Gabba Gabba,'" said Hader, who stars on "Saturday Night Live" and is the father of two daughters.
"It's great, and I thought - it takes place in Gabba land - she would love it if I went on Gabba Gabba. I saw like friends of mine like Rachel Dratch and Andy Samberg. So I went on and did a 'Dancey Dance.'
"You go on and you dance with all the characters. It's called the Rainbow Drop."
At Letterman's urging, the Cascia Hall graduate demonstrated.
"It's a sobriety test. Can I get some of that?” Hader quipped. So Letterman handed him a bottle of Tequila and Hader jokingly poured some in his mouth.
"Oh my God," sputtered Hader, quickly realizing it was the real stuff.
Usually the bottles are filled with apple juice but this time, according to hollywoodreporter.com, the bottle of Jose Quervo was real.
Letterman knew it because he poured some in his coffee cup and took a swig straight from the bottle.
"I thought we had the phony bottle… What are you doing?" Letterman asked producers, saying he hadn’t had a drink since 1984.
"I'm a raging alcoholic! I’m going to have to start going to meetings again. Thanks a lot Jorge."
