You've seen Maverick, Goose and Iceman fly before, but never like this: "Top Gun" has been converted to 3-D and opens in IMAX on Friday for a six-day run in the giant-screen format.

Multiple films have been slated to play this spring at Cinemark Tulsa's IMAX at 10802 E. 71st St., said theater manager Cameron Bush, including familiar names and new titles in its IMAX theater.

Upcoming films opening in IMAX include:

Feb. 14: "A Good Day to Die Hard" opens early next Thursday for the Valentine's Day crowd looking for a movie, with Bruce Willis back as Officer John McClane, this time in Russia. Those wishing to see it first will find a 10 p.m. Wednesday IMAX showing available.

March 1: "Jack the Giant Slayer" stars Nicholas Hoult (of the zombie hit "Warm Bodies") as a young farmer who must battle giants to save a princess and her kingdom. Also in 3-D, playing for one week.

March 8: "Oz the Great and Powerful" tells the story that happens before the events in "The Wizard of Oz." The players are familiar, with James Franco as the Wizard, Mila Kunis as the Wicked Witch of the West and Michelle Williams as Glinda the Good Witch. Also in 3-D, playing for at least three weeks.

April 5: "Jurassic Park" is the next blockbuster from the past receiving a 3-D makeover allowing the dinosaurs to stomp into IMAX theaters.

While "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" is scheduled for a one-week IMAX 3-D release in some markets on March 29, Bush said the picture has not yet been confirmed for a Cinemark Tulsa release.
