"Swamp People" star Trapper Joe has been arrested for domestic violence in Orange County, Fla.

Joseph LaFont, aka Trapper Joe on the alligator-hunting series set in Louisiana, was taken into custody following an argument with his girlfriend, tmz.com reported Wednesday. He is reportedly being held on a $1,500 bond.

According to TMZ.com, Noces Joseph LaFont Jr. had an altercation with his girfriend at a hotel and he allegedly hit her and tried to burn her with a cigarette.

In the arrest report, a witness "claims he watched Joe punch the woman in the chest ... and then grab her by the arms and shake her very hard," reported the website.

This isn't the first time the stars of the reality TV show have been in the news.

On May 14, co-star Mitchell Guist died after allegedly suffering a seizure and falling out of his boat.

In April, Trapper Joe and his stepson, "Swamp People" co-star Tommy Chauvin, aka Trigger Tommy, were involved in a five-car pileup near the Arkansas-Lousiana State line but escaped uninjured. However, merchandise from the show fell out of their truck onto the highway, the website reported.
