We have made a couple of adjustments to the site since we launched the new look on April 2. We appreciate the feedback and have made a number of changes based on it. Let me go over those changes and answer any questions you have.
Blogs: You can now get to all the latest posts from our lineup of 30 blogs in
one click. We have put back the Blogs link in the main menu at the top of each page.
Photo & Video: We renamed our Multimedia section to better say quickly what you can find on the page. Our department of visual journalists who shoot photos and video for tulsaworld.com have an improved home to present their latest and greatest. They are changing up the page as new content comes in, which is all the time. Also check out the
View blog, which tells the stories behind the work. Multimedia Producer John Clanton recently wrote a post about
why he loves the news business, and it was linked to a number of national publications.
Weather: We have added a link to the 5-day forecast at the top of the page under the temperature so you can get to our weather coverage easier. All of our reports come from the Tulsa office of the National Weather Service, a great partnership that allows you to get your forecast straight from the source.
Comment Central: Our popular site is back up after a temporary absence. It's the best way to jump into the conversations happening in our reader comments, as it shows you the most popular stories being commented on and what the latest comments say.
Comment option for subscribers: If you are a subscriber and signed into your account, you will see a "View all" button at the bottom of the comment section. This allows you to open all the comments on a story, no matter how many exist.
With our iPad app, a new update is now available that should stop some of the bugs that were related to the last update. Sorry for the issue, but neither we nor Apple found any trouble with that last update before it was approved.
