Check out the new gritty trailer for "Skyfall," this November's latest edition of Bond, James Bond, in this year that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the British secret agent.

Daniel Craig returns as 007, and while I love this trailer, I couldn't help but notice some similarities between it and the one for Craig's "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" last winter.

Shadows galore, a pounding score, with scenes that linger for a moment before fading to black. It reminds me of the "Dragon Tattoo" trailer that didn't feature Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs singing the Led Zeppelin song.

Sam Mendes ("American Beauty") is the director this time, and he's a Brit to boot.

Watch for Ralph Fiennes early in this trailer; for the fresh-faced newcomer as the Bond girl; and for -- I'm guessing -- Javier Bardem as the villain in a brief appearance so filled with shadows as to be unrecognizable.

But there's something about the hair that reminds me of Bardem, and no, I don't mean his "No Country for Old Men" hair.

Check it out below.
