There are few things I enjoy more than listening to live music in an open field with my shoes off, the fresh grass between my toes or squishing new mud between my feet. Yes, I know I’m from Arkansas and that fits just all of the stereotypes but I don’t care.

That vision came to mind while I was talking to folks about this weekend’s Medicine Stone Music Festival in Tahlequah. Not only will it be a great place to let the dogs bark in the grass, but the music will perfectly accompany my bare footed-ness.

This week’s playlist puts together a lot of the highlights from this weekend’s festival, which you can read more about at tulsaworld.com/weekend. I also threw in a few great new tracks from great artists and a few that I really enjoyed from last weekend at the Gentlemen of the Road stop in Guthrie. Also, with George Strait's announcement that he'll play BOK Center for one of his last arena shows, I dug down deep in my roots. Most of my exs live in Oklahoma or Kansas, but the sentiment is still there. George.....he speaks to me. But I'm alive and well in Tulsa.

Here you go. Let me know what you think in the comments below.
