The Washington Post reports GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s wife Ann may fill in for “Good Morning America” co-anchor Robin Roberts next month. And First Lady Michelle Obama may guest-host the ABC morning show, as well, though the chances of the latter happening is "slim."

An ABC News spokesman confirmed with the Post that Ann Romney is among the possible people who will sit in for Roberts - who temporarily left the show in late August to undergo a bone marrow transplant scheduled for Thursday.

Romney would fill in for Roberts in GMA’s 8 a.m. hour one day in October, the Post’s TV Column reports.

The rep told the paper that “every effort is being made” to also schedule the First Lady in for the show. Though, the article says, her appearance is “very much up in the air.”
