Only in America can there be insurance for your fantasy football team while millions can't get health insurance.
My friend Michael sent me a link to a Marketplace radio story about
fantasyplayerprotect.com, which lets you buy insurance for players on your team.
You pay a premium to protect your investment in the league fee in case your star player gets hurt. This website pays up to $1,000. Best yet, the website says it is backed by an "A" rated insurance center and of course it is a member of the Fantasy Sports Trade Association, which is also a real thing.
On to other fantasy topics ... What was your grade? Yahoo and CBS Sports offers an automatic email with your grade on your draft. I have not received an A in any of the drafts I have done, but I didn't feel so bad after hearing CBS's Jamey Eisenberg, whose rankings make up the draft lists for CBS, hasn't gotten an A either.
The worst thing is that this analysis is created by a computer program, which does a pretty good job putting sentences together.
Just remember what our dads always said: It's not the grade you begin with, it's the grade you end with.
A look toward Week 1Looks like
Arian Foster is good to go for the season. All of us
Ben Tate fans are not so sure about starting him this week against the Chargers. I am going to start him in the flex position because I think he could still be a top 20 back this week.
Ready to see
Montee Ball take on the Ravens defense? Me, neither. I would sit him if I had him on a team. Same goes for
Eddie Lacy, who plays the 49ers.
Players I like this week: Tony Romo and
Dez Bryant should have plenty of fun with the Giants defense.
Robert Griffin III should smash any doubt he is a top 10 QB against the Eagles, who might have the worst defense in the division. It's going to be a tough matchup, but I think
Giovani Bernard is going to be a game breaker against the Bears defense.
Chris Givens goes against what could be a pretty good defense in Arizona, but I think he's going to show he is the sleeper I thought he was.
Make sure to remember to put in your lineups for your Raven and Bronco players. So glad the season is here. Good luck this season. We will post daily updates on Fantasy World throughout the season.
