For the sixth year, Wendy’s fast food stores is hosting its Father’s Day Frosty Weekend. Buy a Frosty drink and help raise $1.6 million to help children.

On June 16 and 17, “It’s easy: check-in to Wendy’s, buy a Frosty or just re-Tweet our special Twitter posts and Wendy’s will donate 50¢ to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption,” the official Wendy’s website states.

There are three ways to help: one is to check in via the mobile-friendly Wendy’s site at tulsaworld.com/treatitforward. Second, buy a Frosty drink. Third, retweet special posts from @wendys.

Also, Oklahoma native and adoptee Kristin Chenoweth will share tweets with her fans in honor of this year’s Wendy’s Father’s Day Frosty Weekend. Follow her at @KChenoweth on Twitter.

All proceeds go to Wendy’s Wonderful Kids, a program that helps find permanent adoptive families for children in foster care.

Father’s Day Frosty Weekend has raised more than $8 million dollars since 2007 for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption in support of Wendy’s Wonderful Kids, its official website states. To date, nearly 3,000 children have been adopted with aid from Wendy’s Wonderful Kids program and thousands more have been matched with families and are awaiting adoption.
