As I confessed in my Tuesday column, I'm a clumsy hooker.
But I'm also nosy, as I want to hear about YOUR most embarrassing ...
Aside from enjoying humorous ones spied on others' automobiles, I'm not a fan of bumper stickers.
I blame my father, ...
During last week's bad weather, when a tornado siren sounded around midnight, I was caught at a midtown QuikTrip.
As ...

Rihanna in the summer of 2006, when she sang "SOS," one of my all-time favorite summer songs. Sorry, but I miss how she used to dress. Like, with clothes and stuff.
Summer is probably my favorite season for listening to music.
I'm particularly fondest of pop and Top 40 stuff, as it reminds me of listening to Casey Kasem and Rick Dees on the radio -- especially summers at both grandmothers' homes.
One of my favorite tunes was "Take My Breath Away" by Berlin, made popular thanks to "Top Gun," in 1986. That summer, what I consider the last one of my childhood, had some awesome hits, including Madonna's "Papa Don't Preach," Peter Cetera's "Glory Of Love," Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer," Steve Winwood's "Higher Love" and -- to a lesser degree but nonetheless close to my heart -- El DeBarge's "Who's Johnny" from the movie "Short Circuit." (Side note: You know those wing corkscrews? They remind me of the robot, Johnny, from "Short Circuit." Am I alone there? Nevermind ...)
Two decades later, I rocked out (i.e., made a fool of myself chair-dancing) to Rihanna's first No. 1 hit, "SOS." More recently, it's been Katy Perry's "California Gurls" and, just last summer, Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass."
But what are some of YOUR favorites? Maybe we can inspire one another to update our iPod playing lists for the pool and lake.
Peace, love and corkscrew robots ... XOXO
