I need to start practicing what I preach, especially when it comes to trumpeting the virtues of yoga.
My favorite classes were taught at St. John's health club, as well as Hillcrest's. Having recently joined the Y downtown, though, I'll soon start going there. (Feel free to hold me to it next time you see me on the street -- especially if I have something fattening in my hand.)
I wrote a story for Thursday's Scene section on yoga, specifically yoga geared toward folks who have preconceived notions about the ancient practice.
Along with that story, I listed several places you can take yoga locally -- places like Beth Field's studio at 1421 S. Carson Ave.; Inner Peace Yoga, 7718 E. 91st St.; Tranquility Yoga, 11644 N. 101st East Ave., Collinsville; Equilibrium Downtown Tulsa, 328 E. First St.; Jennifer Skaggs' weekend rooftop yoga at Ascent, 1325 E. 15th St.; and The Yoga Room, 3403 S. Peoria Ave.
