There was another possibly serious injury to a "Dancing With the Stars" competitor over the weekend.
Frontrunner William Levy reportedly suffered an ankle injury during rehearsal Sunday and may not be able to compete on Monday's episode of the televised dance competition, according to people.com.
"Just wanted to let u know that I injured my right ankle pretty bad during rehearsal," he tweeted on Sunday. "MRI tomorrow. I’ll let u all know .. Love u all."
Levy, who partners with professional dance Cheryl Burke on ABC's dance series, earned high marks for his first three performances on the show but earned lesser reviews from the judges last week.
The 31-year-old actor, who was named "The Hottest Man on TV" by People magazine, is the second celebrity dancer whose injuries placed their chances of continuing in the competition in jeopardy.
A week ago, Melissa Gilbert, star of "Little House on the Prairie" and number TV films, hit her head on her partner's leg during the paso doble and suffered a mild concussion and whiplash and was unable to perform on the results show.
In her people.com blog, the actress told fans she was told to rest and take treatment and could resume her rehearsals providing her headache did not return. It didn't and she is rehearsing, she said in the blog.
"Thankfully, no headache has appeared yet. Though my neck is still stiff, I have been rehearsing with Maks (professional dance Maksim Chmerkovskiy). In fact, I suggested that we end our dance tonight with the move that took us out last week. We are doing just that.
"I must admit though, I'm having a hard time getting my sexy, dancer mojo back. I'm being a bit self-protective, a bit tentative and I'm finding it hard to just let go and have fun. So, that is my goal this week – to let go and have fun.
"Yes, I was hurt. Yes, it was scary but, that was then ... this is now ... It's time to believe again!" she explained on her blog.
"Ðancing With the Stars" airs live at 7 p.m. Mondays with the results show airing at 8 p.m. Tuesdays on ABC, channel 8.
