Red Berry Smoothie
I suspect I'm not the only one who gives up her smoothie routine once the weather turns cold.
Give me some fresh, sweet strawberries, juicy Porter peaches and yogurt, and I'm set for summer smoothies.
Lately, hot tea and toast has sounded like a better breakfast. But where's the fruit in that?
So, beginning this weekend, I'm going to taste test some winter smoothie recipes that sound great. These smoothies use a combination of frozen fruit and fresh fruit that's easy to find in the grocery store in the winter, like cranberries, apples and grapes.
Let us know if you have any winter smoothie recipes.
In the meantime, here's one I'm going to give a try.
Red Berry Smoothie
1/2 cup black grapes
1/2 red apple
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/4 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
1/4 cup pomegranate juice
1 cup ice
1. Mix all ingredients in blender until smooth.
