It may be the last days of summer, but for young dancers, it’s time to start thinking about Christmas.

Tulsa Ballet will be holding auditions Saturday for young performers ages 6 to 14 to be part of the company’s annual production of “The Nutcracker.”

Auditions will be conducted in two sessions at the Tulsa Ballet headquarters, 1212 E. 45th Place.

Dancers aged 11 to 14 will audition from 2 to 3:30 p.m. for roles in the first act party scene, as well as the pivotal characters Marie and Fritz.

Younger dancers, ages 6 to 10, will audition 3:30 to 6 p.m. for roles as mice, angels, soldiers and tumblers.

Registration for auditions will begin at 1:30 p.m.

Audition fee is $10 per person, or $20 for families with more than two children auditioning.

“The Nutcracker” will be presented Dec. 13-15 and 20-22 at the Tulsa PAC.
