The Youth Outdoors Expo was busy at the Tulsa Gun Club this morning with kids and adults lined up for just about every offering – especially that tasty table loaded with some excellent fried catfish,and grilled hotdogs and burgers.
Shotgun shooting, cowboy action shooting, archery, fly fishing and fly tying, BB guns, .22 caliber rifle shooting and even a few German shorthaired pointer puppies were featured attractions. Organizer Shane Bevel of the Tulsa Bird Dog Association said 225 children registered for the event.
I stopped by to enjoy a little time around the crew and kids and grab a few photographs, shared here.
Hat’s off to the Tulsa Bird Dog Association, Tulsa Gun Club, Tulsa Archery Association, Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation STEP Shoot program and others who made a fine experience outdoors possible for a lot of local children.
