Zoes Kitchen, a national chain that features a health-conscious, Mediterranean-style menu, has opened in Brookside.
The restaurant is located at 3629 S. Peoria Ave. The space most recently held Flying Burrito Co., but that building was nearly demolished to build out the new restaurant.
A Tulsa chef who dined there said he was impressed with the food. He said he ordered the Greek marinara chicken with orzo pasta.
"It came with a very nice Greek salad, and I ate for just over $10," he said. "I will be going back."
The menu includes a variety of soups, salads, pizzas, sandwiches, entrees and desserts.
Some of the items include grilled chicken and slaw pita sandwich, chicken kabobs, hummus and salad plate, chicken salad sandwich, and tossed Greek salad. Most dishes are priced less than $10.
Diners place their orders at the counter, received a number, and their food is brought to the table.
Zoes is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
