Jimmie Tramel is a pop culture blogger and feature writer for the Tulsa World’s scene department. He spent 24 years as a sports writer at the Tulsa World before deciding to play in a different sandbox. A graduate of Locust Grove High School and Northeastern State University, he has authored books about former Oklahoma State football coach Pat Jones and former Oklahoma football coach Barry Switzer. Among pop culture credentials: He named his son after Superman.
