In 2008-10, Gundy executed a turnaround that landed the Cowboys on the short list of the most successful teams in the country.
There are 120 teams in Division I-A. In 2008-10, Oklahoma State was one of only 14 teams to have recorded at least 29 victories. The Cowboys were 9-4 in 2008, 9-4 in 2009 and 11-2 last season.
