DALLAS – Through his first three seasons as the Oklahoma State football coach, Mike Gundy’s record was 18-19.

In 2008-10, Gundy executed a turnaround that landed the Cowboys on the short list of the most successful teams in the country.

There are 120 teams in Division I-A. In 2008-10, Oklahoma State was one of only 14 teams to have recorded at least 29 victories. The Cowboys were 9-4 in 2008, 9-4 in 2009 and 11-2 last season.

Washington State, Troy, Tulsa, Louisiana-Lafayette, Rice, Grambling State, Sam Houston St, Indiana, Fla Atlantic, Missouri State, Iowa St, Can see how pokes got so many win.
Not very good for BCS points though

Strange: the Indiana, Sam Houston State and Florida Atlantic wins were all for the 2007 season - Haisten is referring to the 2008, '09 and '10 season. If you're gonna smear the Cowboys, at least do it with facts, or learn to read.

I agree strange Daze, that would be like playing Idaho State, Tulsa, Tenn Chat, Cinci, Washington, and Utah State, Iowa State. Who would put such cupcakes on the schedule. Sorry that was the team listed with 32 wins. Not bashing the Sooners but just showing all team put weaker teams on their schedule. You act like your team line sup against top ten teams weekly.

He graduated magna cum laude from Northeastern State University with a journalism degree and, while attending college, was sports editor of the Pryor Daily Times. He joined the Tulsa World on Oct. 17, 1989, the same day an earthquake struck the World Series. In 2007, he wrote a book about Oklahoma State football with former Cowboy coach Pat Jones.
