AP Top 25: How I voted

The Associated Press Top 25 men's basketball poll was released Monday.

1. Duke 12-0
2. Michigan 13-0
3. Arizona 12-0
4. Louisville 12-1
5. Indiana 12-1
6. Kansas 11-1
7. Syracuse 11-1
8. Ohio State 10-2
9. Minnesota 12-1
10. Gonzaga 12-1
11. Illinois 13-1
12. Missouri 10-2
13. Florida 9-2
14. Cincinnati 12-1
15. Georgetown 10-1
16. Creighton 12-1
17. Butler 10-2
18. Michigan State 11-2
19. San Diego State 11-2
20. New Mexico 13-1
21. Notre Dame 12-1
22. Oklahoma State 10-1
23. N.C. State 10-2
24. Pittsburgh 12-1
25. Kansas State 10-2

And here's how I voted:

1. Duke
2. Michigan
3. Arizona
4. Louisville
5. Indiana
6. Kansas
7. Syracuse
8. Ohio State
9. Minnesota
10. Illinois
11. Gonzaga
12. Florida
13. Missouri
14. Cincinnati
15. Georgetown
16. Creighton
17. Butler
18. San Diego State
19. Michigan State
20. Notre Dame
21. Oklahoma State
22. N.C. State
23. New Mexico
24. Pittsburgh
25. Kansas State

Only minor differences exist between mine and the actual Top 25. This week's poll was easier than usual, simply because only four ranked teams lost last week (Missouri, Cincinnati, San Diego State and UNLV) and six teams in the Top 25 did not play, including OSU.

The Cowboys remained No. 22, thanks to New Mexico upsetting No. 8 Cincinnati and popping back into the poll at No. 20. A win against Gonzaga today would lift OSU significantly, and the Cowboys play at No. 25 Kansas State on Saturday. Of the five matchups this week that feature two ranked teams, OSU is involved in two.

Another team of Cowboys is on my radar but didn't make it into my poll. Wyoming is one of a handful of unbeatens left but has yet to face a tough opponent. That changes this week, with a visit to SMU before starting Mountain West play.

Golden Hurricane (last month)
That's great. Now, if anyone cared about college basketball then this would be noteworthy.
