A Sea of Red at Pioneer Stadium

On Thursday night, the Stillwater High School football team hosts Enid.

As of 10 a.m. Friday, the Pioneer Stadium parking lot becomes Husker Central.

For Saturday’s Nebraska-Oklahoma State football game, Nebraska was given an allotment of 3,850 tickets, but as many as 10,000 Husker fans are expected to be in Stillwater for what may be the Huskers’ final contest at Boone Pickens Stadium.

The Stillwater High School athletic department has rented its stadium and parking lot to the Oklahoma Cornhusker Club. On Friday and Saturday, SHS athletic director Butch Lingenfelter says, “somewhere between 250 and 300 vehicle spots” will be rented to Nebraska fans. According to the Oklahoma Cornhusker Club, the parking fees are $10 a day for cars and $50 a day for recreational vehicles and buses.

On Saturday, a $10-per-person barbecue buffet is served. Nebraska athletic director Tom Osborne is expected to attend the pregame pep rally at 6,000-seat Pioneer Stadium. The Huskers’ three Heisman Trophy recipients – Johnny Rodgers, Mike Rozier and Eric Crouch – also may attend.

For fans who park at Pioneer Stadium, Stillwater Public Schools buses are provided as shuttle transportation to and from Boone Pickens Stadium. Cost: $5 per head.

Not all of those 10,000 Nebraska fans are expected to actually attend the game. Many of them will stay at Pioneer Stadium and watch the ABC telecast. OSU officials expect slightly more than 5,000 Husker fans to attend the game. A crowd of about 55,000 is expected.

SS - you're really a Cowboy fan aren't you? You post on more OSU articles than anyone. I hope OU wins saturday so that November date can be even more special. Wait... actually no I hope they get obliterated Saturday. I hope they get "USC'd".

After a Nebraska win on Saturday the wind will be out of OSU's sails once again. And then they will relize the have never won a Big 12 Championship game or even been to one.

Husker, didn't Texas take the wind out from Nebraska's sails last week? Or did you have your head buried too deeply in the sand to acknowledge it? Maybe after the game you'll "relize" that tact and humility can go a long way.

Actually husker, OSU realizes they haven't played for a Big 12 championship, no one is pretending we have.

I guess wind out of the sails feelins are near and dear to the huskers, something they've felt quite a bit lately.

Sooner Sam,

You post just about everyday. Thanks for the support of our team......

I don't think you're insecure, you just happen to love OSU that's why you post so much. Last week was interesting wasn't it? OSU 34 TT 17.

It's really what it's all about. Forget the past. Now we face NU. This won't be an easy game, but OSU will win. Then people like Husker (another OSU fan) will have to give us due.

Then again, will he say the Huskers were just another overrated team OSU beat? I doubt it.

I hope you enjoy the game as much as all of us. When OSU wins will you give them credit? Or be no where to be found?

Sam
If Mizzou beats OU will you admit their not as great as your proclaim in your other conversations you have had this year? Also when OSU wins what will be your excuse? Can I get a teaser? Like "Nebraska was not really good" or "OSU got lucky"
Is there a possiblity of praise? Is that just way out of the question?
