Admit It. We'll Miss Ags

The more important question is who replaces ego-driven Texas A&M as the Aggies finally bolt for the Southeastern Conference.
The Aggies seem to think everything will be great in the SEC. That’s fine. Go. We’re tired of listening to A&M’s delusional fans.
Oklahomans are far more interested in what happens to the Sooners and Cowboys, two programs that have been consistently better than A&M football in recent years.
If the Big 12 stays together, it will have to land an equal or better football program. Notre Dame and BYU both fit that description.
However, neither the Irish nor Cougars are as good of a fit geographically as A&M.
Arkansas would be the best replacement but we believe you can erase that dream.
So, are there realistic good fits for the Big 12?
In a word - no.
No matter what you think of Texas A&M, and most folks in Texas and Oklahoma seem to be in agreement about the over-hyped Ags, the Aggies were a great fit in the Big 12.
No one wants to admit but losing Texas A&M is a crushing blow. Not because the A&M football program is such a powerhouse. Both Texas Tech and Oklahoma State have blown past the Aggies in recent years.
And, the Aggies aren’t even in the same world as Oklahoma and Texas when it comes to football history.
However, Texas A&M was a good fit. The Aggies were in the neighborhood and played a high level of football and other sports.
We hate to admit it. We’ll miss them.

Nah! Good riddance!

Texas A&M's departure for the SEC represents the dilution of major market TV Households and opens the door for greater SEC encroachment into one of our most fertile recruiting grounds... so there is a sense of loss... but "miss"? Not in the least.

It's difficult to imagine there being another school on this planet that pretends as much athletic heritage with so little substance to back it.

What little substance there is all rest in the frequency of their post-Lone Star Rivalry visits to the Chicken Ranch in LaGrange... it's all intrastate.

Miss a departed insufferably boorish B-Movie bit player? Miss a pretentiously obnoxious drama queen? I don't think so.
