Aggies Need a Quick Start Against OSU, Hogs

Texas A&M coach Mike Sherman was the first Big 12 Conference coach to meet with the print media at the Big 12 Football Media Days on Monday.
It didn’t take him long to set the tone. Texas A&M has the players and experience to be a serious contender to win the Big 12.
Sherman wasn’t shy about saying the Aggies have the kind of players to be very good. They have plenty of experience.
What they don’t have is winning championships in recent years.
Texas A&M has a favorable schedule, except for a Nov. 5 date at Oklahoma. The Aggies have tons of offensive talent, something that is in abundance in the Big 12.
Playing better defense, something everyone in the league wants to do, might be the key to A&M’s title hopes.
Losing Von Miller, the No. 2 pick in the NFL draft, is a huge loss for the Aggies. However, OU and Texas lose good players every years.
A&M has the ability to be a championship contender. Winning early, against good teams like Oklahoma State and Arkansas, will tell us a lot about A&M.
