All That Matters

There are a lot of sports media types out there looking for your eye and ear going on to the fall.

There are radio people yelling and and trying to stir up controversy as they struggle to fill the time. There are local TV people being paid by the schools they cover putting out glowing reports on...the schools they're paid to cover. There are are national TV people with strong opinions about every element of the sporting world. Hire him. Fire them. Trade that guy.

But in truth there is only one reason to read.

One reason to watch.

One reason to listen.

If you picked LSU over Alabama, you don't know college football.

If you picked New England over the Giants, you don't know pro football.

If you picked OKC over Miami, you don't know beans about the NBA.

Having a strong opinion is not enough. The ones deserving of your time must have the CORRECT opinions. Opinion without scoring is a waste of time.

Out Pick The Picker

The Picker began entertaining – and infuriating – sports fans in 1993. Each week during football season, he writes about his picks of college and NFL games in his Thursday Sports column. He's never afraid of sharing his opinions about the game and the personalities who play it. Readers have a chance to go against him each season in the Outpick the Picker contest. He welcomes the competition.
