Anderson is Great Hire by Arkansas

Mike Anderson will have Arkansas back in the national championship hunt in a few years.
He could have the Razorbacks back in the NCAA Tournament as early as next season.
Anderson, the former Tulsa player and assistant coach, returned to Arkansas on Saturday as head coach.
He is back to Arkansas, where he served as Nolan Richardson’s top assistant for 17 years.
He is back where he was a part of the greatest era in Arkansas basketball history - three Final Fours and a national championship.
Nine years ago he was swept out in the messy departure of Richardson.
He went to work to prove himself. In nine years as a head coach at UAB and Missouri, he put his team in the NCAA Touranment six times. He led UAB to the Sweet 16 and got Mizzou to the Elite Eight.
He knows how to coach. He knows Arkansas.
He’ll hit the ground running and it won’t take long to get the Razorbacks back to being very competitive.
Anderson’s record would seem to indicate he’s ready to put the Razorbacks back where Richardson put them in the 1990s.
This is a perfect match of coach with school. A coach in his prime with a school that desperately wanted him.

Mike Anderson holds the highest winning percentage of any coach in UAB men's basketball history. He also holds the highest winning percentage in Missouri men's basketball history for those who coached for more than 2 seasons. He took UAB to the Sweet Sixteen and Missouri to the Elite Eight. There's absolutely no reason to think he won't be great at Arkansas.
