Another Fine Mess by Big 12

We’re guessing the U.S. Senate has better things to do than get involved in conference realignment.
The reports that some senators, and perhaps one former senator, are now a part of the Big 12 mess is not encouraging.
The Big 12 was doing a fine job of making a mess of this whole conference realignment without any help from Washington, D.C.
But, the same guys who probably should be busy on something important like the economy, are involved in the Big 12 discussions.
Whatever the case, the Big 12 once again has been put in a bad situation.
Whether it is West Virginia or Louisville wouldn’t seem to be such a big deal. Neither is in the traditional Big 12/Big Eight footprint. You’ve got to fly over several states to get to either place.
West Virginia certainly has the football tradition and program to fit nicely into the Big 12. Louisville is a little closer and has better basketball.
It is not surprising the Big 12 may have dropped the ball on this latest issue.
That is the way the Big 12 has handled just about everything in recent years.
That’s why the Big 12 had to say farewell to Nebraska, Colorado, Texas A&M and soon Missouri.

The ham handed genius of David Boren revealed again. Get out front and strut- whats next- oh yeah, not understanding how a conference tv network would work. Hopefully he employs a driver because I would hate to see this simpleton out unaccompanied.
