Are the Sooners ascending to Texas' Big 12 throne?

DALLAS – As Oklahoma enters the Westin Galleria, it's worth wondering if all of the backlash from the Longhorn Network has worked in the Sooners' favor.
It's not so much what anyone is saying at Big 12 media days, it's what they're thinking. Or tweeting, like this from The Sporting News' Matt Hayes: "Up next: OU. You know, the team that actually wins league championships w/out getting 300 mil from ESPN."
Or writing, like this from Eric Sorrentino of the Lawrence Journal World: "Similar to Kansas in men's basketball, Oklahoma football has a certain aura about it that screams 'class of the Big 12.'"
As recently as last year, when the Big 12's future was tied directly to Texas', that aura seemed more the Longhorns' domain.
Not sure if that's so obvious any longer.
