Audition time for JamesOn Curry

JamesOn Curry was smart to throw his name into the NBA Draft because he has nothing to lose, and, perhaps something to gain.
If Curry doesn't hire an agent and doesn't like what he hears from draft experts, he can return to Oklahoma State for his senior season. That's the probability.
So what does Curry have to gain? Experience. He'll be a little wiser for going through the draft evaluation process and the NBA folks will point out areas of his game that need improvement.
Jason Parker, if you recall, did the same thing prior to his senior season at the University of Tulsa.
Is there a chance Curry could bolt to the NBA? You never know. All it takes is for one team to like you in order to be drafted. But the common sense move would be for JamesOn Curry to come back to school and turn himself from a good player into a better one.
Selfishly, I want Curry to come back because there's a story I haven't written about him that I still want to write. We talked about a certain story topic in the locker room after OSU's loss to Texas in the Big 12 Tournament. I meant to write about what we talked about before a second-round NIT game, but a second-round NIT game never happened, so I'm putting the story into storage until next year.
Stay tuned. Maybe the story will see print.
