Back on the rollercoaster

Zingo was torn down at the now defunct Bell's Amusement Park earlier this year. For those who need the thrill of a rollercoaster ride, travel to Stillwater on Saturday night for the OSU-Kansas football game.

Watching the Cowboys this season has been like experiencing a rollercoaster. And I hate rollercoasters.

All three Big 12 Conference home games have come down to literally the final play. OSU outscored and outlasted Texas Tech for a frenetic 49-45 win. Jason Ricks booted home a winning field goal with two seconds left to hold off Kansas State 41-39.

Of course, last Saturday's game against Texas provided the ultimate rollercoaster experience. Lots of going up feelings for three-plus quarters before the crushing going down feeling in the final 11 minutes.

The screams have subsided for now. But judging from this season and the rollercoaster ride that was the 2006 season, the screams will be back in Boone Pickens Stadium on Saturday. That's the way this OSU team plays. Whether those screams are those of enjoyment or frustration is yet to be determined.

The Oracle (5 years ago)
The problem with the OSU,Texas game was the quarterback McCoy.After his first run why was he not covered defensivly? He was a running back that was able to run un opposed.
