Bad to worse for Sampson

You get the feeling that if Kelvin Sampson offered to help a little old lady across the street, she'd smack him upside the head with her cane. It's been that kind of year for the former Oklahoma basketball coach.
Sampson lost his job at Indiana, and although he landed an assistant's gig with the Milwaukee Bucks, he continues to lose his dignity bit by bit. It's bad enough that he'll be exiled from college coaching for a period of time after the NCAA renders its final verdict over infractions he committed in Bloomington. Now IU president Michael McRobbie has admitted it was a mistake to hire Sampson in the first place.
Meanwhile, back at OU, where Sampson committed his first batch of infractions, there's this indirect shot courtesy of former All-American Stacey King:
"It's a different time here now. There were some bridges that were burned before, but now there's a lot of healing process going on now."
